Kara Rogers, Director
Mrs. Kara Rogers is very excited to begin her 12th year of teaching and 8th year at Clark. Mrs. Rogers teaches Dance 2, P.E., and Drill Prep at Clark High School. Kara is from Austin, Texas and has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She attended McNeil High School and danced on the drill team as a member and two-year officer. Post high school, Kara attended Stephen F. Austin State University and danced on the National Championship Pom Squad as a member and Captain. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dance. She worked for Crowd Pleasers Dance Company for nine years, teaching dance and drill teams all over the state. Mrs. Rogers taught dance at Richardson High School for four years prior to coming to Clark. She loves spending time with her friends and husband and being a mom to her son, Nate, and daughter, Andie.
Skylyr Sanchez, Assistant Director
Ms. Skylyr Sanchez is very excited to start her first year of teaching at Clark High School. Ms. Sanchez is from Plano, Texas where her passion for dance and drill team flourished at Vines High School. She was a Vikette as well as a Plano Senior High School Planoette, serving as Sergeant her senior year. After graduating from Plano Senior High, Ms. Sanchez attended Tyler Junior College where she was an Apache Belle, and participated in many performance opportunities such as the Royal Caribbean cruise ship and at an international soccer game in Costa Rica. Once she graduated from TJC with her associates degree, she transferred to the University of North Texas to earn her bachelor’s degree in dance education and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She loves traveling with her friends and spending quality time with her fiancé’, Tyler, her family, and two dogs, Letty and Miro.
